  1. Eat soft food
  2. Eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables every day
  3. Frequent and regular check-ups at the dentist are therefore recommended.
  4. The use of a plastic spoon will lessen the chance of injury to the mouth or damage to the teeth.
  5. Offering smaller meals more frequently throughout the day
  6. Even offering 2-3 mouthfuls of liquid every hour to achieve adequate hydration to manage constipation
  7. Daily physical activity can help, including a physio programme or swimming.
  8. Bone health must be monitored by blood tests and or bone density scans.
  9. Limit processed foods with low nutritional value
  10. Make pre- and pro-biotics a regular part of the diet
